Come Hungry. Eat Hearty.
Go Home Happy.
If you crave home cooking and farm-fresh goodness, you’ll love the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord in Lancaster County, PA. Whether you feast from our all-you-can eat Bird-in-Hand smorgasbord buffet, sample the offerings on our sumptuous soup-and-salad bar, select something from our varied menu or pick up a convenient meal “to go” from our retail case, it’s sure to satisfy your appetite. And kids 12 and under will love our unique Noah’s Ark Kids’ Buffet. Built by a local Amish craftsman, it features a selection of favorite foods for younger taste buds and, of course, delicious desserts.
We make most of what we serve at our Bird-in-Hand restaurant from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. In season, produce comes from local Amish and Mennonite farms, and we use meat and poultry from local producers – including our own Angus beef raised on John Smucker’s farm. We serve milk from Oasis, a co-op of local farmers. Some of our most popular traditional Pennsylvania Dutch recipes date back to Grandma Smucker, and the Smucker family still approves every recipe we use today. We invite you to taste our family favorites! Enjoy our breakfast buffet, lunch buffet, or dinner buffet Monday-Saturday.
