BIRD-IN-HAND BAKERY & CAFE
Administrative Support Specialist – FT
Provides administrative support to the Food Service General Manager. Responsibilities include human resources, bookkeeping, inventory, label printing and coordinating fundraising orders. Full-time position, must be organized, a self-starter, be proficient in computer skills and promote a positive culture.
AM Scratch Baker – FT or PT
At least 1 year of food service production is preferred. Most shifts start between 3 am and 7 am. We make nearly all of our products from scratch and we are looking for someone who enjoys the baking process from start to finish. We are known for our pies, breads, donuts and cakes. We even make our own ice cream! We would like our AM scratch baker to eventually be trained in all areas of production so if you like to learn this is the job for you. A positive attitude is a must.
Bakery Manager – FT
Direct oversight of bakery production, cake room, delivery drivers, mail order, York and Roots markets. Effectively manage the daily production and quality of our baked goods. Work with managers and supervisors to support retail and café operations. Create a positive culture with staff consistent with the mission and foundational values of the company. Full time open availability (Mon.-Sun) including very early mornings. Significant professional baking experience and knowledge. Scratch bread baking experience is preferred. Guest service experience preferred. Culinary degree preferred. Positive attitude is a must.
Cafe Attendant
Responsibilities include taking Guest orders, preparing food and beverages and keeping the self-serve areas clean and organized. Must have food service experience, be able to multi-task, have excellent customer service, integrity, positive attitude and love working with people. Must have availability to work anytime between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm and Saturdays.
Donut Production Assistant – FT
Responsible for mixing and prepping dough, frying and assisting with finishing donuts. At least 2 years of bakery or cooking experience preferred. Includes weekends and holidays.
Retail Attendant
Offer a welcoming atmosphere to our guests and ensure guest service standards are consistently met. Needs to be able to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 5:30 am and 6:30 pm. Previous retail and food service preferred.

Human Resource & People Development Manager – FT
Provide direction and focused energy to the enhancement of the total staff experience at Bird-in-Hand. She/he will guide unit managers in successful recruiting and retention of engaged Bird-in_hand staff. The qualified candidate for this position will have demonstrated previous success in creating performance management systems, robust staff development activities, organizational communications, comprehensive training systems, and leadership development. BIRD-IN-HAND FAMILY INN
Housekeeper – PT/FT
The job entails cleaning and stocking Guest rooms to ensure the Family Inn’s high standards of cleanliness. You may be asked to clean common areas or assist Housekeeping Supervisor as needed.
Pool Attendant – PT
The Pool Attendant is responsible for creating and maintaining an atmosphere of safety, cleanliness, and hospitality in our hotel pool areas and common areas. Able to sweep, mop, fold towels, and interact positively with guests and team members. Able to work until 10 pm weeknights and weekends. Some holidays. Nights and weekends a must.
BIRD-IN-HAND FAMILY RESTAURANT & SMORGASBORD
Host/Hostess – FT & PT
To greet our Guests with a smile, escort them to an appropriate seat, and assist them in any way that will enhance their dining experience. Handle all cashiering procedures at the end of their service. No Sundays. Part-time or Full-time, AM or PM.
Kitchen Manager– FT
The kitchen manager will provide leadership and training for all back of house operations to include: kitchen, buffet, short order, banquet prep and banquet kitchen in a manner consistent with the standards and guidelines established. The kitchen manager will maintain all standard operating procedures throughout the Restaurant. This person will also oversee production and quality of food for menu dining, smorgasbord and banquets and spend time working with and assisting staff in all positions. The kitchen manager will create a positive culture with the staff consistent with the mission and foundational values of the Owners.
Short Order Cook– PT
Preparing and plating orders following quality, portion and appearance standards. Morning, mid-day and evening shifts available Tuesday – Saturday. At least 1 year of short order experience preferred.
Prep Cook– PT/FT
Responsible for following recipes for the production and quality of all of the foods served at the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord.
Server– PT/FT
Must be knowledgeable of all foods served on both menu and smorgasbord. Takes the order from Guests, always looking to suggest items that will serve to enhance their dining experience. Provides excellent service and quality food to every Guest.
Buffet Attendant – PT/FT
Provide and maintain an attractive display of fresh quality foods to our Guests. Always greet Guests with a smile, willing to help with any needs they may have. Must be at least 18 years of age.
BIRD-IN-HAND VILLAGE INN & SUITES
Front Desk Innkeeper – PT/FT
FT and PT, flexible schedule, includes evenings, weekends and holidays
The front desk innkeeper is responsible for greeting guests, checking guests in and out of their rooms, answering any questions about Bird-in-Hand, the Village Inn property or the area, making recommendations for activities and restaurants, answering the phone, taking reservations, maintaining the cleanliness of the front desk area and the property and assisting with laundry.
Housekeeper – FT
Housekeeper wanted for daytime hours. This job entails cleaning and stocking guest rooms to ensure the Village Inn’s standards of cleanliness. You may be asked to clean common areas as well. This position is for 4-5 shifts per week and does include Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
Innkeeper Manager – FT
Effectively guide the operations of the Inn in a way that creates a positive culture, provides leadership and training to ensure the highest quality service, and assists with the daily operational functions. Job qualifications include 3-5 years management experience in the lodging industry, strong people skills. excellent organizational skills and detail oriented, solid software skills.
COUNTRY ACRES CAMPGROUND
Cleaning Position – PT
2 or 3 days per week, would include some weekends. Experience preferred but not required.
Front Desk Clerk – PT
Must be a people person, computer literate, and great at multi-tasking. Experience preferred but not necessary. 10-15 hours per week. Varied shifts
Maintenance Assistant – FT
Looking for a courteous individual who has experience in grounds keeping, preventative maintenance, janitorial maintenance and can trouble shoot electrical and mechanical systems. Position averages 30-40 hours per week.
TRAVELERS REST MOTEL
Housekeeper – PT
Responsible to clean, disinfect and stock guest rooms to ensure Travelers Rest’s high standards of cleanliness. Clean and disinfect corridors, foyers, rooms, and other areas. serving guests as needed with room runs, luggage handling, and other requests. Assists Housekeeping Supervisor as needed. Housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Approximately 25 – 30 hours a week. Includes weekends and holidays.
