Just four miles east of Bird-in-Hand, at the intersection of Old Philadelphia Pike and Route 772, is a lovely village whose name means “communication” or “fellowship.” With roots that reach back to its founding in 1754, this Lancaster County village is still something of a gathering place for Amish farmers, local entrepreneurs and visitors alike. You’ll find lots of shopping and plenty of places to eat. The inn’s stately red brick Main House was built in 1909 and has been restored to its Victorian-era elegance, with modern conveniences including private baths, individual climate control, gas-burning fireplaces, TV and wi-fi. The property offers three additional lodging buildings, including a private cottage, as well as a wedding gazebo. Three Grand Suites offer extra space, with sitting areas, kitchenettes and two-person jetted tubs. Main House Rooms are historically themed.
Innkeeper Carl Kosko is a long-time hospitality professional, and a chef who prepares a crave-worthy full breakfast for guests.
