The Home Game
A Son’s Journey. A Father’s Hope.
For as long as he can remember, handsome Levi Troyer has loved playing baseball. He daydreams about playing in the major leagues, but his father expects him to remain on the family farm. Levi manages to keep most of his dreams in check – until a sports talent scout sees Levi’s impressive pitching and batting skills and offers him a deal he can’t refuse. How will Levi choose between his father’s wishes for an Amish life and his own deepest dreams? What will it cost him? Filled with laughter and drama, this new musical production hits it out of the park!
Presented in partnership with Blue Gate Musicals and based on the story by acclaimed author Martha Bolton, Levi’s unforgettable journey is brought to life by a talented cast of professionals. Chosen from 5,000 hopefuls at auditions across the country, our cast members have appeared at Sight & Sound Theatres, Ozark Actors Theatre, Peach State Summer Theatre, Lexington Children’s Theatre, South Bend Civic Theatre and other venues. This live theatre production includes several veterans of the Bird-in-Hand Stage and introduces Wendell Hester in the role of Levi.
