Make & Take: Stained Glass Dragonfly

An antique key becomes a thing of beauty to hang or wear

Welcome spring! Create a colorful dragonfly with stained glass wings and finish it as a necklace or a sun catcher to capture the rays streaming in through the windows. Learn how under the guidance of local artisan Maria Roshon, of Fractured Frog. Whether she is making jewelry, suncatchers or custom windows or transoms, she unites color and light with gorgeous results.

In this workshop, you’ll choose from a variety of glass colors, and then Maria will lead you through the process of turning them into wings and soldering them to a genuine antique key, then finishing them off with a black cord for use as a necklace or a ribbon for hanging. Choose from four convenient start times and go home with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind creation. Reservations are recommended; limited space for walk-ins may be available.

$45 includes instruction and all supplies.
