BIRD-IN-HAND BAKERY & CAFE
AM Scratch Baker – FT or PT
At least 1 year of food service production is preferred. Most shifts start between 3 am and 7 am. We make nearly all of our products from scratch and we are looking for someone who enjoys the baking process from start to finish. We are known for our pies, breads, donuts and cakes. We even make our own ice cream! We would like our AM scratch baker to eventually be trained in all areas of production so if you like to learn this is the job for you. A positive attitude is a must.
Cafe Attendant – FT or PT
A wide range of responsibilities including taking Guest orders, preparing food and beverages and keeping the self-serve and seating areas clean and organized. Attendants offer a welcoming atmosphere to our Guests and ensure the Guest service standards put forth by the Smucker family are consistently met. To succeed in this position, you must have food service experience, be able to multi-task, have excellent customer service, integrity, positive attitude, and love working with people. Must have availability to work anytime between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm and Saturdays. A local candidate is preferred because of the early hours.
Cafe Manager – FT
Provide overall supervision and management to our cafe. Regular manager on duty shifts which include the opening and closing of our café and retail store. 5 days per week including Saturdays. Closed Sundays. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience and 2 years of food service experience. Pennsylvania food safety certification within 90 days of employment.
BIRD-IN-HAND FAMILY INN
Central Reservations – PT
Answer telephone inquires in a friendly and courteous manner, employ sales techniques in order to secure and process reservations for guest accommodations in a timely manner. Promote Bird-In-Hand Family of Inns reservations based on guest preferences and availability
Front Desk Agent – PT/FT
Check guests in and out, Communicate with other departments as needed, take payments including credit card and cash, respond to guests phone calls and requests, balance cash drawer at end of your shift. Must be available to work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM
Housekeeper – PT/FT
The job entails cleaning and stocking Guest rooms to ensure the Family Inn’s high standards of cleanliness. You may be asked to clean common areas or assist Housekeeping Supervisor as needed.
Laundry Attendant – PT
Wash, dry, and fold all laundry, treating stains as needed, stock supply rooms with clean laundry, operate washing and drying machines and golf card for collecting/delivering laundry, must be able to stand for a sustained period of time, ability to lift 30 lbs.
BIRD-IN-HAND FAMILY RESTAURANT & SMORGASBORD
Dishwasher – FT
PM shift, Monday – Saturday. Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, etc. Transport dishes to appropriate areas. Keep a clean and tidy work area. End of night clean up duties to include sweep, mop, trash,  re-stocking, etc.
Buffet Attendant – FT
Monday–Saturday. Keeps foods appropriately filled and attractive. Maintain high level of cleanliness and food safety standards. Fast-paced environment. Need to have positive guest interaction, be self-motivated and have the ability to multi-task.
Busperson – PT
Mostly evening and Saturday shifts.
Restaurant General Manager – FT
Provide leadership and support to all departments with a focus on front of house, guest service and administrative areas. Providing the team with the tools and information they need to successfully operate the restaurant with established guidelines. Create and maintain a positive culture consistent with company mission and values. Create management practices that continually develop higher levels of brand reputation for the business in the areas of service, product quality and facility appearance.
BIRD-IN-HAND STAGE
Theatre Manager – FT
Responsible for the overall financial success of the Bird-in-Hand Stage. The theatre manager will work with marketing to increase sales and determine promotions, liaise with production companies, be responsible for the day to day Stage operations and manage the theatre staff. The Theatre Manager is a full-time position mid-March through December and part-time January through mid-March. Shows cover Tuesdays-Saturdays, with a flexible schedule to oversee both 1 pm and 7 pm showtimes. Bachelor’s degree and theatre experience preferred. Must have excellent guest service skills and have the ability to speak in front of a group. The candidate should also be organized and detail oriented.
Usher – PT
Greet and seat theatre guests, assist with the seating of bus groups, assist at our concession stand and possess excellent guest service skills. Flexible schedule, Tuesday-Saturday. Shifts available from 12-4 pm and/or 6-10 pm. Approximately one to three shifts per week.
BIRD-IN-HAND VILLAGE INN & SUITES
Housekeeper – PT
Housekeeper wanted for daytime hours. This job entails cleaning and stocking guest rooms to ensure the Village Inn’s standards of cleanliness. You may be asked to clean common areas as well. This position is for 3-4 shifts per week and may include Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
Head Housekeeper – FT
Responsible to oversee housekeeping functions for Village Inn and to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Â Full-time hours are based on occupancy. Includes winter hours for housecleaning.
Innkeeper – FT
Effectively provides leadership and manages the operations of the Inn that creates a positive culture in the office; provides leadership, guidance and training to staff; collaborates with the Leadership Team; assists with budget preparation; collaborates with corporate marketing; responsible for all areas of the Inn.
TRAVELERS REST MOTEL
Housekeeper – PT
Responsibilities include cleaning Guest rooms, caring for public and outdoor areas of the property and helping transport laundry to and from the supply rooms. 3-4 shifts per week. At least 2 weekends per month required. Shift begins at 8:30 AM. Flexibility on end time is needed.
