First Day of Spring

Bird-in-Hand Bakery & Cafe • Saturday, March 20

Welcome longer days and warmer weather with a day of fun and the debut of an exciting new artisan ice cream flavor! Our First Day of Spring event is a great way to celebrate the season and connect with the community in a socially distanced outdoor setting. Look for the tent behind our Bakery & Cafe.

Come for the ice cream…
We’re introducing a colorful new ice cream flavor handcrafted from real dragonfruit. This tropical treat is as dazzling as it is delicious. We’ll be offering 16 other artisan ice cream flavors, too, including your favorites like Citrus Basil, Whoopie Pie Fudge Swirl, Death by Chocolate, Shoofly and more. Get them by the cone or dish at special First Day of Spring prices or take home hand-packed pints or half-gallons.

Bakery & Cafe hours: 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
Walk-up tent hours: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

…Stay for the fun!
If you’re tired of staying home inside, why not make a day of it? Listen to some family-friendly live entertainment under the tent by Steven Courtney, and then let the kids enjoy the petting zoo and playground on our premises. For the grown-ups, our Penny Social gives you an opportunity to bid on a variety of items donated by local businesses. Proceeds benefit Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services.

Live entertainment: 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Penny Social: 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

For the safety and health of our guests and employees, we ask that you wear a mask and maintain social distancing from others not in your party.
