I got a Shoofly pie at the Hershey/Harrisburg Christmas Craft fair.
I am a Shoofly Pie lover. Many that you find are NOT authentic and Not very good.
I thought the best I ever could get was from a baker at the Green Dragon.
But I changed my mind. This Pie from Bird-in-Hand Bakery was absolutely the best.
I noted it did not use Black Strap molasses as most authentic Shoofly’s do.
The difference is a much moister pie and the crust and crumbs were deee-licious !
Simply a delight to eat.
I will order these pies from the website whenever I get the urge…
